This page explains how Appstead ("App Store Sales: Appstead" on the App Store) handles information when you use our website or iOS app.
The short version
Appstead is a local-first App Store Connect client. Your App Store Connect credentials and business data are not sent to us. The app connects directly to Apple when you refresh data. Appstead Pro subscriptions fund the app, not ads or selling your data.
Information we collect
We do not collect your App Store Connect credentials, sales figures, downloads, reviews, or other business data on our servers.
Your App Store Connect API keys are stored in your device's secure Keychain. They may sync across your Apple devices through iCloud Keychain under your Apple ID. Your imported business data is stored locally on your device.
App settings and workspace preferences stay on your device. Business data sync across devices is not available in the current version.
When you export CSV files, they are created on your device and shared through the standard iOS share sheet. Appstead does not upload export files anywhere.
Payment data
Appstead Pro subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details, such as credit card numbers. Apple provides purchase status so we can unlock Pro features.
Product analytics and stability
We collect anonymous usage information, such as which features are used and how often, to improve the app. We also collect crash and error diagnostics when the app fails. This information does not include your App Store Connect credentials, business data, or personally identifying details. It is not used for advertising.
Network connections
The app may connect to:
- Apple (App Store Connect, App Store, and related Apple services) to fetch and update your data when you refresh, when optional notifications run, or when home screen widgets update
- A public currency exchange rate service to convert proceeds into your chosen display currency
- Anonymous analytics and crash reporting services as described above
The app does not contact any Appstead backend with your business data.
What we do not do
- We do not run ads.
- We do not sell your App Store Connect data.
- We do not operate a backend that stores your credentials or business metrics.
- We do not upload your business data in the background to our servers.
- We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.
Data security
App Store Connect private keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Business data remains in a local database on your device. Credentials synced through iCloud Keychain use Apple's secure infrastructure under your Apple ID.
Your consent
